The Northern York County Regional Police Department is pleased to announce the hiring of five new police officers. The Officers were sworn in at recent Northern York County Regional Police Commission meetings.

Logan Chetaitis, age 22, from Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania.  Logan is a 2015 graduate of Cumberland Valley High School and a 2019 graduate of Lycoming College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice.  He graduated from the Harrisburg Area Community College Police Academy in December 2019.

Joshua Rudy, age 26, from Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania.  Josh is a 2010 graduate of Donegal High School and a graduate of the York Technical Institute with an Associate Degree in Specialized Business with a focus on Criminal Justice. He graduated from the Harrisburg Area Community College Police Academy in December 2019.

Jonathan Kane, age 24, from York, Pennsylvania.  Jonathan is a 2012 graduate of West York High School and was honorably discharged from the United States Marines in April 2019. He graduated from the Harrisburg Area Community College Police Academy in December 2019.

Tyler Hayes, age 23, from Johnstown, Pennsylvania.  Tyler is a 2015 graduate of Bishop McCort High School and is currently enlisted in the United States Marines as a reserve status.  He graduated from Indiana University’s Municipal Police Academy in June 2018.   Prior to joining the Northern York County Regional Police Department, he worked for Johnstown Police Department.

Jesus Marmolejos, age 23, from Hazleton, Pennsylvania. Jesus is a 2015 graduate of Hazleton Area High School and a 2016 graduate of Lackawana College’s Municipal Police Academy.  Prior to joining the Northern York County Regional Police Department, he worked part-time for both Plymouth Borough and Rush Township Police Department.
