On 02.11.20 at approximately 7:09 PM the Northern York County Regional Police investigated an incident where a man accused his girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend of attempting to run him over with a car.
This incident occurred in the 100 block of Chesapeake Estates in Jackson Township. The victim and witnesses identified the suspect as 33 year old Matthew Jacob Adams of Felton, PA.
Matthew Adams was to be sitting in a vehicle outside of the victim’s home. The victim went outside and began arguing with Matthew Adams. Witnesses reported it appeared as though Matthew Adams was going to back out of his parking space and leave but he did not. Instead he drove forward towards the victim. The victim was able to get out of the path of the vehicle and was not struck.
Matthew Adams sped away from the area by driving through several other resident’s front yards.
Police later located Matthew Adams sitting in his vehicle several blocks from the victim’s home. He showed signs of intoxication and was arrested.
Matthew Adams was charged with Terroristic Threats, Simple Assault, Harassment and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. He was taken to York County Central Booking for Arraignment. Bail was set at $10,000.00.
