On 03.12.2024 at 0800 hours the Northern York County Regional Police Department was dispatched to a possible structure fire at 26 Chesapeake Estates in Jackson Township.
Responding officers found the home secure, but could smell smoke. Officers forced entry and located a deceased 71 year old female in the living room of the home. There was evidence of a fire in the area of the deceased.
Northern York County Regional Police Fire Investigators found that the female was oxygen dependent and had been smoking at the time of the incident.
The female was pronounced dead at the scene by the York County Coroner’s Office.
