On 07.22.25 at 10:34 AM the Northern York County Regional Police Department investigated a crash in the 100 block of Eastland Ave. in Manchester Township. On scene the police found a 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee lodged into the living room of a home. 

The police on scene discovered that an 81-year-old male had backed out of the driveway of his home. The Jeep had been parked on the westside of Eastland Ave. and accelerated eastward across Eastland Ave. The driver struck an unoccupied 2023 Yamaha motorcycle that was legally parked on the roadway. After impact the Jeep continued east into a neighbor’s yard. 

The driver turned the wheels to the right and performed a U-turn to travel west. The Jeep left the yard and traveled back across Eastland Ave. The Jeep entered a yard on the westside of Eastland Ave.; the same side of the roadway in which it began its journey. The driver drove up a front porch and into a home. The Jeep came to rest in the living room of a home in the 100 block of Eastland Ave. 

Nobody was the home when the crash occurred. The driver of the Jeep was not injured. This crash remains under investigation to determine if the cause of the crash is driver error or vehicle malfunction. Case# 2025-032562
