On 07.28.25 at 6:10 AM the Northern York County Regional Police Department investigated a fatal crash in the 6000 block of Davidsburg Rd. Dover Township. On scene the police observed three crashed vehicles.
A black 2004 Acura TSX was following a 2018 Honda CR-V eastbound on Davidsburg Rd. in a no passing zone. The Acura went in the westbound lane in an attempt to pass the Honda. The Acura had a head on collision with a cement mixer truck that was driving westbound on Davidsburg Rd. This initial impact caused the Honda to lose control and also crash.
The driver of the Honda was a 47-year-old female from Dover, PA. She transported to York Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the cement truck was a 55-year-old-male from Rockwood, PA and was not injured.
The operator of the Acura was identified 23-year-old Matthew Karl from Wellsville, PA. He was taken to York Hospital with extensive injuries. On 08.02.25 he was pronounced dead at York Hospital. The York County Coroner’s Office listed the cause of death as a traumatic brain injury.
