On 04.06.26 at 09:44 PM the Northern York County Regional Police Department responded to the 200 block of Big Mount Road in Jackson Township for a vehicle crash involving a Lexus sedan and a Met Ed utility truck.
The driver of the Lexus sedan, a 22-year-old male was travelling northbound on Big Mount Road and failed to stop for a Met Ed flagger who was holding a stop sign and controlling traffic at this work zone. The driver of the Lexus hit the Met Ed utility truck head on causing significant damage to both vehicles. At the time of this crash a Met Ed lineman was in the truck’s bucket and suspended in the air doing work on the powerline.
The Met Ed lineman suffered minor injury and was treated at a local hospital.
The driver of the Lexus suffered serious injury and was transported to York Hospital by ambulance. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
