On 08.27.22 at 1:20 AM a Northern York County Regional Police Officer was performing stationary patrol in the 1400 block of Seven Valleys Rd. in North Codorus Township. At that time he observed a vehicle pull into a driveway two houses south of the Rutter’s Farm Store. Two male actors exited the vehicle and walked into the store.
A short time later the officer observed the same males running from the store. The males ran back to the vehicle that brought them to the store. This vehicle pulled out of the driveway and began to drive southbound on Seven Valleys Rd. without its headlights illuminated.
The officer began to follow the vehicle and identified it as a gold 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The officer attempted to make contact with the store via cell phone but received no answer. A short time later York County 911 dispatched units to the Rutter’s Farm Store, advising that the clerks were robbed at gunpoint.
The officer continued to follow the suspect vehicle until back up units could arrive in the area. As they traveled into Glen Rock Borough the Northern York County Regional Police Officer effected a traffic stop on the suspect vehicle. The officer was assisted by the Southern Regional Police Department and the Pennsylvania State Police in performing a felony vehicle stop.
The female driver and two male passengers were taken into custody. All three actors were taken into custody without injury to the suspects or the police officers.
