On 11.19.23 at 5:29 AM the Northern York County Regional Police Department investigated a reported shooting in the parking lot of the Days Inn Motel. The motel is located at 334 Arsenal Rd. in Manchester Township.

Police responded and spoke with 34-year-old female, Brittany Abosede. She initially reported that she was driving from Washington D.C. to an airport in New York City. She pulled into the Day Inn parking lot to rest when an unknown male approached her. She stated that he brandished a handgun and then shot at her vehicle when she left the area. Her statements did not make sense to the police. When her inconsistencies were pointed out she agreed to tell the truth.

She advised earlier in the evening she had agreed to urinate on a male during a paid sexual encounter in room 130 of the motel. After the encounter she returned to her vehicle and was preparing to leave when the unknown male that had paid her for the evening approached her and brandished a handgun. Sensing the danger, she drove out of the parking lot. The unknown male fired one shot from his handgun.

The gunshot struck the passenger side of her brown 2019 Nissan Rogue. Officers later located a spent 9mm shell casing in the parking lot where her vehicle had been parked.

The suspect who fired the gun shot was a 66-year-old male from Harrisburg, PA.  Investigators made contact with the male, and he confirmed the sexual encounter with Abosede.  The male advised that he went into the parking lot after Brittany Abosede because she had stolen his wallet. He advised after she had left the area, he found his wallet in the parking lot and returned to Harrisburg.  The male agreed to meet with officers and began returning to the area.  While enroute, the male became involved in a crash in Harrisburg.  He was transported to a Harrisburg area hospital for his injuries.  Northern York County Regional Police Detectives responded to the crash scene and recovered the gun used in the incident.

Brittany Abosede was arrested and taken to the York County Booking Center. She was charged with Prostitution, False Reports, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

This case remains an active investigation as the male half has not been charged at this time. If you have any information regarding this incident, you are asked to contact the Northern York County Regional Police Department at 717.467.TELL (8355) or tips@nycrpd.org. Case# 2023-048100
