On 10.04.24 at 12:45 AM the Northern York County Regional Police Department investigated an Arson in the 4700 block of Carlisle Rd. The residence is located in Dover Township. 

A 37-year-old female was housesitting for the homeowner who was out of state at the time of the fire. The female was awoken by the homeowner’s dog that was barking. Approximately 10 minutes later she heard several loud popping sounds and stood up to investigate the matter. 

It was at this time she observed flames to the rear of the first floor of the home as she looked out the second-floor bedroom window.  The house sitter was able to get the homeowner’s dog and cat safely out of the home and secured in her car. 

Fire crews responded and were able to extinguish the blaze. The home suffered extensive damage to the rear of the home. 

While on seen police were approached by the neighbor who lived just south of the house that was on fire. The neighbor reported that the three loud pops that were heard was their own home being shot. The police were able locate the rounds that were fired into the home. Two rounds were found in the living room and one round was found in the kitchen. The police also recovered three .40 caliber shell casings on the roadway in front of the home. Nobody was injured in the home that suspects fired into that night. 

Surveillance video at the intersection of Carlisle Rd. and Harmony Grove Rd. captured one vehicle on the roadway at the time of the crimes.
