On 03.21.24 at 1716 hours the Northern York County Regional Police Department responded to a reported shooting in the Meadow Run Mobile Home Park located at 5145 Susquehanna Trail. Arriving officers located a 38 year old male that had suffered a gun shot wound to his left arm/shoulder. The male was transported by EMS to York Hospital. He is currently in stable condition.

Witnesses were able to provide information on the shooter identifying him by his street name “Kato”. “Kato” was to be a teenage male from the Philadelphia area. “Kato” had been staying in the mobile home park for several months and after an altercation earlier in the day, was told by the victim that he needed to leave. “Kato” left the area at an unknown time.

At approximately 1715 hours, “Kato” returned to the scene with two other people in a white Dodge Durango. A verbal confrontation ensued between the victim, “Kato”, and a female that was with “Kato”. The confrontation escalated and “Kato” produced a black handgun, pointed it at the victim’s head, and fired. The bullet struck the victim in the shoulder area. “Kato” and the other occupants of the Durango fled the scene. There is no registration information available for the vehicle.

Investigators were able to identify “Kato” as 17 year old Lysias Jesus Delgado of the 3000 block of North Hope Street in Philadelphia.

Delgado is charged as an adult with the following crimes:

  • Criminal Attempt Homicide
  • Aggravated Assault
  • Firearms not to be carried without a license
  • Possession of a firearm by a minor
  • Recklessly endangering another person
  • Simple Assault with a deadly weapon
