On 03.20.2025 at approximately 0049 hours the Northern York County Regional Police Department responded to a two vehicle crash near the intersection of Lincoln Highway West (US Rt 30) and Lake Road in Paradise Township.
Arriving officers observed a Chevrolet Cruze had struck an International tractor trailer nearly head on. Officers found the driver of the Chevrolet to be unresponsive and in cardiac arrest. Officers undertook lifesaving measures until the arrival of EMS.
Lifesaving efforts were unsuccessful. The York County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene and pronounced the 61 yoa male deceased.
Preliminary investigation found that the Chevrolet was travelling westbound on Rt 30 when it crossed through the center turning lane and struck the tractor trailer nearly head on. The 36 year old operator of the tractor trailer attempted to avoid the crash. He was not injured.
Rt 30 was closed for several hours due to a large fuel spill and crash investigation.
